Rock drummer Kenny Aronoff took part recently in a reception to showcase “The Jim Irsay Collection” in Washington, D.C. Nov. 2nd.
The invitation-only reception included Irsay’s collection of music and other cultural artifacts. Included in the collection was historic artifacts from rock music, American history and pop culture includes items owned and used by legendary performers including Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Prince, Eric Clapton, The Grateful Dead’s Jerry Garcia, Les Paul, Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour, The Doors’ Jim Morrison and other music icons.
The evening’s events concluded with Kenny participating in an all-star jam session set fronted by Irsay along with fellow musicians Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Mike Wanchic, Tom Bukovac, Michael Ramos and Mike Mills.
Jim Irsay’s passion for rock music, American history and pop culture led him to assemble a robust collection of historic and culturally significant artifacts over several decades that together make up The Jim Irsay Collection.
